Wintery Summer

I know it's Summer and I'd be crazy to wear this outfit if the weather was warm but honestly its freezing and every second day it rains, hence why an all faux leather outfit can work! (I wish it couldn't work though because that would mean that there is sun around!) 

Anyway I'm loving the clean lines and simplicity of this outfit. The necklace really brings it all together and makes it exciting. I kept the shoes minimal to avoid distraction from the top half. 

Now to buy the whole outfit in white... right!?

Quick outfit post... I know its Summer now but honestly it still gets cold therefore I feel like I can still wear ankle boots haha! Pairing them with a cute, floral dress like this one brings out a much more summery vibe, especially when a sunhat is added. 

I recently wore this outfit to a daily lunch at a rooftop bar. Very casual and laid back, perfect for afternoon drinks.

Spring Racing Carnival

Ladies ladies ladies, its that amazing time of the year, SPRING CARNIVAL! 

This time I chose to attend the Emirates Melbourne Cup. With University classes still going for me it was extremely difficult to fit in time to go too any of the races but thankfully I was free for the main event and I'm so happy I went. It turned out to be lovely weather and I had an amazing time with my girls. For anyone that has been to the races before, you would be well aware that there are traditions to adhere to. Some of these would be Derby Day is black and white, Oaks Day is Ladies Day and the main rule, no felt in Spring and no straw in Winter. Since it is Spring, a straw hat was a must. The wide brimmed, extremely floppy white hat I chose to wear was a bargain from Ally in which I added my own flower design to the side to match my dress. I paired these gorgeous white heals from Wittner to keep everything fresh, with this amazing Mossman dress the centre of attention. For all of you who were lucky enough to attend the races during this time, I'd love to check out your lovely outfits :)

Lets just take a moment to appreciate the lovely collection Cotton On has created!! Its called CO by Cotton On. Its not only right on point fashion wise, but the prices are incredible. It fetures a wide variety of textures with faux leather being a common sight. Different patterns form a common trend in a Monochromatic palette, and if you haven't checked it out yet then you must do now! I purchased this muscle tank a while back from the collection and I've been dying to wear it when the weather is warmer just so I can show off the amazing detailing with the zippers and the contrasted front and back.

A trip down memory lane! Some of you may remember having sandals like this when you were little, and yes they have made a comeback! They are so damn cute and you can pair they with literally any outfit. The only downside, and yes I'm going to say it... they are just as uncomfortable now as what they were when you were a kid! Expect blisters! I've found the solution though!! Rubi shoes sells these adorable shoes (thats where i got mine) and they are a softer plastic to other ones I own. They bend easier when worn and are much more comfortable. They can be purchased here! They sell a variety of colours and patterns for only $15!! Bargain!!

Spring Time, Sunshine!

Ok, so I'm not to sure about the 'Sunshine' comment in the heading, but I like to think so! Melbourne is crazy with the weather, as those of you who live here would know! 

This outfit is a typical Spring outfit for me! It provides warmth if its freezing and if the sun decides to show, then I still look the part.

Spring has Sprung

Spring is one of my favourite seasons! There's just something about that feeling knowing that it's almost summer! The sun gets brighter, the days get longer and of course I'm able to wear floral plants like the ones above, ahh bliss! I love anything floral that is simply bursting with colour, it easily brightens your day and a strong print is a great place to start evolving an outfit around. 

 I also recently bought these clogs and I'm in love. They are seriously the most comfy shoe ever! That's not even a joke, I can wear them all day shopping without an issue. I loved them that much I bought them in 2 colours, tan and white. We'll be seeing a lot of these babies in the next few months.
