Ink Island

Who said you can't wear florals in Winter!?
I'm a strong believer in wearing what ever you feel comfortable in and if that means bright colours and vibrant patterns when the rest of the city is decked out in shades of grey and black then I say go for it!!
I recently picked up this gorgeous Ink Island shirt from Sabo Skirt and with the pop of floral and the watercolour background of purples and blues I'm totally in love. The best part is that if you don't want to wear it as a shirt you can unbutton it and throw it over a basic dress in the Spring. Safe to say you'll be seeing more of this beauty throughout the year!
Although these pictures may have you thinking that it's definitely not Winter, I promise today was an exception! Im not complaining though, I loved the sun!

Trend: Boyfriend Jeans

There's not really much I can say about boyfriend jeans... except that EVERYONE is doing it!! And by everyone, I mean everyone! Not that that's a bad thing, it's kind of nice to see a change in the style of jeans we are wearing since skinny's have been around for sooo long!
I recently jumped on the band wagon, purchasing myself a distressed pair and to be honest I'm loving them!! They are so comfy to wear and can be easily worn as a casual item or dressed up for a more chic look.
Below I styled mine in a more casual way teaming them with my fave cut out boots!
When choosing a top to pair your boyfriend jeans with, be careful not to opt for something too tight as it will make your bottom half look too wide!
Check out how I styled mine below!

July Bellabox Review

Its that exciting time of month again!
Receiving my Bellabox in the mail is something I really look forward to and since you pay for the box at the very start of the month, by the time it gets shipped out and you receive it, it feels like everything is free! Every month's box is themed different and this month was 'Luxe Beauty Travel'. It really made me crave warmer weather and lust for a European adventure...a girl can dream!

So keeping with the Beauty Travel theme the first thing I was presented with in my Bellabox was this...

Although I'm not planing on heading to America any time soon (I wish i was though!!) this cardboard guide would be an essential if i was heading to LA. It is packed with options for restaurants, spas, bars and of course shopping. It is compact to fit in your handbag and is worded in such a quirky way that it's actually interesting to read!
Its valued at $12.99 and if i was actually heading to LA this would be extremely useful.
The next product I received was Biore` Deep Cleansing Pore Strips -
I actually already use these strips so its handy to have 2 free ones chucked in there. They are quick and easy to use but damn they can hurt to pull off sometimes!! Not sure if that's just me or not but I continue to use them so they can't be that bad!! You can buy 6 nose stripes for $6 in places like Coles.
For the face I also received LA Fresh Face Cleanser Wipes -
I find wipes like these really handy when I travel! It can be a pain trying to remove your makeup with just water and it never actually does the job! Maybe for one night you can get away with it but if you're heading on a holiday you want to be sure to clean your face properly every night! This little pack with 1 wipe would also be perfect for those long plane rides. You can purchase 20 of these for $16.50.
Another cleansing product was in this months Bellabox, but this time for the body.
This bar of soap is al natural!! It is a handcrafted soap which on side view has the appearance of honey...or hexagons that honey is made on! Not to sure how to explain it but it looks cool! As cool as this soap is, its useless for holidays! I hate the thought of carrying around a bar of soap while away on vacation. I'd much prefer to take a liquid pump but I will try this out in my shower at home! This soap retails for $3.49.
This next product is again a little bit pointless...
A skin moisturizing cream is useful but not in these quantities! This tiny little tube will be used up in 2 uses if put on the body! I'm still going to give this cream a go because it is claiming to be 'Japan's 55 year "Soft-Skin-Secret"'. I will instead use it in small concentrated areas of dry skin, like for example on my face, around my eyes and on my lips! That way I can get a few uses and see how it really performs. A full size is 70g and is sold for $35.
I was really excited about the next product!!!
Cheek and lip tints are one of those things that can be daunting at first but once you get the hang of it, its amazing!! Making sure you know how to blend out the product and you are sure to be left with a gorgeous, health flush of color to your lips or cheeks. I tried this on my lips and the color was a really deep, dark berry but when tested on my cheeks it was more of a bright, fresh berry! Either way it was a great product and since you only need a tiny amount, this tube will last a longgg time!
Full size is 10ml for $24.
Another awesome product this month was Libra Hotties Heat Patch -
This product was really exciting for me! Its something that I've never seen in shops before and could be quite useful. It claims to last for up to 8 hours and can get to a highest temperature of 50 degrees.
These can be bought at Coles, 2 for $5.
Last but not least....
Baby Foot - Now I was totally confused when I saw this in my Bellabox! It's a quite large item so I'm surprised it even fit in the box!! This is essentially a foot scrub, but inside a pair of socks! Weird I know! So you wet your feet, put them in the socks provided and wait 2 hours. The gel that is inside the socks is meant to exfoliate and remove any dead skin leaving you with, well, baby feet! I may use these closer to summer when my feet get a little more exposure but as far as I'm concerned $30 is ridiculous when the sand at the beach has the same effect! I guess i should wait and see if they are actually worth it, but I'm not trying these out anytime soon!!

Anyway we have come to an end of my Bellabox samples for July! This box was exciting and has exposed me to some products that I definitely wouldn't have bought myself or even knew existed!
All in all I think it is definitely worth $15 this month and I'm excited to continue experimenting with other products. Thanks for reading!

Leather & Stripes

There's something timeless and chic about leather jackets. They are one of those pieces that you can splurge on and have for years with the guarantee that you'll definitely get the wear out of it.
They are so fabulous in their own right having the ability to dress up any simple outfit.
I recently purchased this cropped version for a bit of a change, paring it with stripes and a pop of burgundy on the foot.
Check out how i styled it below.

Fluffy Jacket

This jacket is definitely one of those statement pieces that should be in your 'must have' winter items!
It has the ability to dress up any outfit while still providing you with plenty of warmth, paired over simple black jeans and heeled booties it takes an outfit from basic to chic.
The color palette of the jacket is basic leaving you with endless opportunities of accessories like patterned scarves and color-block bags.
Be aware when wearing jackets that are heavy up top as you want to avoid making yourself look out of proportion and bulky.
Check out how I styled the jacket in the pictures below!
