Bardot

Lets be honest, this outfit was all about squishing in those last few wears of my fur jacket before Spring comes and we throw all those winter warmers to the back of our wardrobes in hope to see a glimpse of sunlight. This day was actually really cold so it gave me a good opportunity to wear the fur without looking like a complete crazy lady. Spring cleaning is just around the corner though and I'm excited!
This also means that Spring Fashion Week in Melbourne is coming, yay! It starts in just 2 days to be exact! Will you be attending? I know I hope to be!

Downtown

Winter is slowly coming to an end but that doesn't mean the trends have to! Monochrome is always a classic way to put an outfit together, styling blacks and whites to create a stylish look.
I added an element of texture to this outfit with the leather leggings, making it almost a statement piece to compensate for having no colour! But lets not lie, the real attention is on those boots!! The studded design and side buckles are a real eye catcher and believe me, when I wear these babies down the street they catch the attention of every by-passer!
Hope everyone's enjoying the windy weather!!

Jailhouse Stripes

I love how effortless stripes are this Winter season. It almost takes the thought out of outfit planning because it's so easy to just throw on a tunic style jumper like the one above, some leather leggings and you're ready to go!! I added a black floppy hat and some gold jewellery to give the outfit some interest, and I was ready to hit the shops for my last real shopping day before Uni started back.
When wearing a tunic like this, make sure you keep your bottom half slim with tight pants, this will keep the outfit in proportion.
I hope everyone is having a great week, I'm enjoying an easy first week of Uni before all the assignments start flowing in! Dreading it!

Aztec

There's not enough good things I can say about this gorgeous Aztec jacket! I'm in love!!
I wore this outfit on a casual day shopping because it's just so comfy! I almost felt like I was carrying around a big, warm blanket all day except its so effortless to wear. I love the way it drapes down the front almost giving the illusion of a scarf yet it is fitted and shorter around the back! This stops it looking like the jacket is flooding around you and creates a nice distinction between the bottom half of the outfit and the top. The teal blue colour of the Aztec print adds a little pop of colour which is always nice and fresh in winter.
Let me know what you think of this outfit!

Sport Luxe

Jeans - Dr Denim
Top - Valleygirl
Sneakers - Converse

Winter dressing is all about comfort and the sport luxe trend is here to help us through.
With baggy pants, sneakers, oversized sweaters and jerseys sporting bold print-on numbers, winter is more fun than you thought!
I recently purchased a pair of leather Converse high-tops and I thought they would go perfectly with my cropped jersey style top. I paired them with my high-wasted black jeans because they are so damn comfy! Let me know what you think!

Ink Island

Who said you can't wear florals in Winter!?
I'm a strong believer in wearing what ever you feel comfortable in and if that means bright colours and vibrant patterns when the rest of the city is decked out in shades of grey and black then I say go for it!!
I recently picked up this gorgeous Ink Island shirt from Sabo Skirt and with the pop of floral and the watercolour background of purples and blues I'm totally in love. The best part is that if you don't want to wear it as a shirt you can unbutton it and throw it over a basic dress in the Spring. Safe to say you'll be seeing more of this beauty throughout the year!
Although these pictures may have you thinking that it's definitely not Winter, I promise today was an exception! Im not complaining though, I loved the sun!

Leather & Stripes

There's something timeless and chic about leather jackets. They are one of those pieces that you can splurge on and have for years with the guarantee that you'll definitely get the wear out of it.
They are so fabulous in their own right having the ability to dress up any simple outfit.
I recently purchased this cropped version for a bit of a change, paring it with stripes and a pop of burgundy on the foot.
Check out how i styled it below.
